Kosovo's Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) has approved Market Rules Version 3.2, updating the previous version from October 2023. The revised rules govern how the electricity market functions, including trading arrangements between participants and their interaction with the transmission and market operators. A notable addition is the integration of the energy exchange and energy storage systems.

The new rules were developed with World Bank consulting support and went through a public consultation process before final approval.
